SOFIANNA ALIFIERI

I hold a PhD in Philosophy from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Department of Humanities, Social Sciences and Law, School of Applied Mathematical and Physical Sciences. My areas of expertise are Applied Philosophy-Bioethics and Biotechnology, while my research focuses on the Ethics of Enhancement, with related publications and presentations. I research human enhancement, transhumanism, physical, mental/brain and genetic doping, modern brain-computer interfaces (BCIs), and artificial intelligence. Graduate studies: Master's program in 'Ethical Philosophy', University of Athens (NKUA), and Master's program in 'History, Sociology, and Ethics of Medicine' at the Medical School of Athens (NKUA). Bachelor’s degree in Greek Philology from the Department of Philology, University of Athens (NKUA), with additional specialisation in Special Education.
