Early Career Researchers are doctoral candidates and scholars in the early stages of their postdoctoral careers, who are developing their independent research profiles and scholarly networks. The Laboratory supports their research and professional development by providing opportunities for collaboration, publication, participation in conferences and research projects, and engagement with its wider academic community.
Eligibility
A researcher may be designated as an Early Career Researcher if they: a. are currently enrolled in a doctoral programme (PhD) in Philosophy or a related academic field; or b. have been awarded a doctoral degree within the preceding three years; c. are actively engaged in philosophical or interdisciplinary research relevant to the scope of the Laboratory; d. demonstrate an emerging record of scholarly activity, such as publications, conference presentations, research projects, or academic collaborations; and e. maintain an ongoing academic or research relationship with the Laboratory.
Conatus – Journal of Philosophy
Members of the staff of Conatus – Journal of Philosophy are admitted ex officio to the category of Early Career Researchers, in recognition of their contribution to the Journal and to the Laboratory’s wider scholarly and publishing activities, provided that they do not meet the eligibility criteria for inclusion in the Senior Researchers category. This designation applies automatically, irrespective of whether they meet the eligibility criteria for Early Career Researchers outlined above.
