ATHINA GRITZALA

Athena Gritzala is a Philologist, Special Education Educator, and the Principal of the 3rd General Lyceum of Glyfada. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Pedagogy, and Psychology (specializing in Psychology) and a Master’s degree in the History of Philosophy from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). Serving in Secondary Education since 1995, her extensive career includes classroom teaching, role as a Special Education teacher (KEDASY), Career Guidance Counselor (GRASEP), and School Life Counselor. She has also contributed as an e-learning educator and digital creator for the National Digital Tutorial program. Athena is a researcher at the NKUA Applied Philosophy Research Lab, focusing on Applied Ethics (Bioethics) and Aesthetics. She has a significant record as a teacher trainer, conference speaker, and academic author. Notably active in cultural initiatives, she has coordinated numerous school projects, skills labs, and student groups, earning national awards in Bioethics and filmmaking competitions. She is ICT certified (B2 level) and possesses native-like English proficiency (C2).
