CHRYSANTHENIA PAPASTEFANOPOULOU

I am a psychologist and a graduate of the Department of Psychology at the University of Ioannina. I am currently a postgraduate student in the MA Programme History of Philosophy and Ideas at the Department of Philosophy, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. I have completed the coursework of the MSc Programme in Bioethics at the Medical School of Democritus University of Thrace and I am currently working on my master’s thesis entitled “Psychiatric Care or Social Control? A Bioethical Approach to Mental Health Institutions.” I have participated in research activities in the field of psychology. My research interests focus on the philosophy of psychiatry, the philosophy of mental health, biopolitics and mental health institutions, bioethics, as well as existential philosophy and the interdisciplinary study of religion.
