Eleni Kavouriari was born in Athens. She is a philologist who has taught for many years in private tutoring institutions and in schools as a parallel support educator. Her research interests focus on Ethics, Applied Ethics, and Philosophy of Mind. She has studied English Language and Literature at the American College and subsequently, Philosophy at the School of Philosophy of the University of Athens, from which she graduated with distinction (“ Excellent”). In 2025, she obtained a Master’s degree in Philosophy by attending the Animal Ethics MA program of the Department of Philosophy at NKUA. She completed her postgraduate thesis under the supervision of Professor Georgios Arambatzis, in which she employs the theoretical tools of the Frankfurt School’s Critical Theory aiming at elucidating the destructive tendencies of human being and exploring ways to avoid unethical action that affects both human and non human animals, as well as the environment. She attends seminars and lectures on philosophy and art and enjoys reading. She is engaged in writing essays and short stories. Her philosophical interest lies in the critical examination of normative philosophical theories and the possibility of reconciling the most prevalent of them in order to form the theoretical framework for the protection of the environment and other living beings.
