EMMANOUIL MANOUSAKIS

I am a postgraduate student of Philosophy specialising in the History of Philosophy and Ideas at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. I completed my undergraduate studies at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Ioannina in 2022. My research focuses on philosophy as a therapy of the soul in Ancient Greece, with particular emphasis on the Socratic dialogical method and the Stoic theory of the passions. I am especially interested in exploring the methodological transfer of these frameworks to contemporary philosophical counselling and philosophy of education, understood as forms of applied philosophical practice. At the same time, I seek to cultivate a public and dialogical philosophical discourse capable of contributing to the collective engagement with existential and value-related questions within the contemporary social context.
