NIKI KALKANTZI

Niki Kalkantzi was born in Athens in 2003. She graduated from the Department of Philosophy, School of Philosophy, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), in 2026 with a “Very Good” grade (7.56/10). She was admitted in 2021, after graduating from Anaxagoreio General Lyceum of Nea Erythraia (19.9/20). Her academic interests include moral philosophy, bioethics, ancient Greek philosophy, and historiography. Her thesis, supervised by Professor Iliopoulos, examines Aristotelian eudaimonia in comparison with utilitarian and deontological ethics. She participated in an Erasmus exchange at the University of Nicosia, enriching her academic training. She has attended conferences and symposia in bioethics and humanities, presenting a research paper on life-and-death issues, and has contributed to voluntary initiatives at NKUA. She has partial teaching experience in secondary education through a tutorial institution and her practicum at the Lyreio Didaktirio. She has completed training in Palaeography and Advanced Ancient Greek (KEDIVIM), as well as seminars in first aid and informatics. She is involved in philosophical and educational organisations, publishes articles on Alfavita since 2021, and has advanced proficiency in English and French. Her research bridges philosophy and education, focusing on bioethics and critical reasoning. She aims to pursue postgraduate studies in fields related to her interests.
