Stavros Gkiokas was born in 2001 in Salamis, where he grew up. In 2020 he was admitted to the Department of Philosophy of the Philosophy School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), graduating in October of 2025 (Second-Class Honours, Upper Division). During his studies, he developed a special interest in Ethics and more specifically in Applied Ethics, a branch in which he aspires to develop further. His research interests focus on Bioethics, Philosophy of Technology, Military-War Ethics and Philosophy of Literature. He has attended conferences, such as the World Bioethics Day in 2023, while he has participated as a speaker in the Undergraduate Student Conference organized in 2024 by the Philosophy - Politics - Economy Laboratory (PPELAB) of the Department of Philosophy of the NKUA. He speaks English (C2, native – level speaker) and Spanish (junior level, basic knowledge of speaking, reading and writing text).
