IOANNIS CHATZOPOULOS

Ioannis Chatzopoulos was born in 1978 in Athens. He holds a PhD in Sport Policy and Management from Loughborough University. He studied Political Science at the University of La Verne, California and Sport Journalism at IEK AKMI and then got a MA in Sport, Politics and Society at the University of Warwick. He was a scientific associate at the Hellenic Center of Research on Sports Law (H.C.R.S.L.), editor-in-chief of the sociological review New Sociology and director of the magazine New Politics. He is also a member of the Association for the Study of Sport and the European Union and the International Network for Research on Sport and Migration. Ioannis Chatzopoulos was an elected member of the Council of the Hellenic Warwick Graduates Association (H.W.G.A).Since 2025 he has been a member of the Nordic Migrant Expert Forum at the Nordic Council of Ministers as a representative of Denmark.
